Reader Question: Africa
I have been fighting off a call on my life for sometime now - ministering to women. I am a divorcee but for the Grace of God am now a mighty woman of God. The devil has been telling me - you have failed in you own marriage, how can you do this? I am now convinced through prayer and God's confirmation this is my call. The question is how do I get rid of this condemnation? Where do I start without upsetting my local pastor as I have sensed some resentment towards my involvement in leadership at the church? Should I wait until I remarry before I can get involved in women's ministry? I am not involved with anyone for the past 4 years as I made a decision to walk in purity until God sends me a husband? Thank you

Answer:

Condemnation is the voice of our enemy saying "you are a failure...you
don't measure up to the required performance". He is right! I don't
measure up, and I never will be able to. That is why I desperately
needed Jesus when I came to Him years ago. My salvation is rooted in
the grace of God. I continue to need Him and His grace for every day
of my earthly walk. My strength, wisdom, and spirituality will never
be enough.

The blood of Jesus IS enough. He made me righteous when I first came
to Him, and I stand today in His righteousness, not my own. When I
fail, He will forgive and cleanse whatever I repent for. To stop the
voice of the enemy, I need to plant the Word of God in my heart that
will speak truth in his face. Meditate on Romans 5:17-21 and study
the book of Ephesians.

Your decision to walk in purity until God sends His choice of a
husband for you is so wise.
God has to teach us and prepare us before we are ready to be the
helpmate He wants us to be.

Leadership in the kingdom of God is mostly from the position of a
servant, not a master. Can you serve your church leadership? Can you
come alongside to help and encourage those who are responsible for
ministering to the women in your church? Purposing to live in unity
with those in leadership will allow increased anointing in the church
and take away territory the enemy could work from. Focus your
frustration against the forces of darkness rather than the people who
seem to be obstacles.

When we say yes to God and allow Him to move as He wills, we have a
ringside seat on the most exciting action in the world!
